123-reg has been registering domain names since the year 2000, back when the Millennium dome was the place to be and mobile phones were the size of a small elephant. We are now a part of Pipex Communications UK Ltd, the specialist web hosting arm of Tier 1 ISP, Pipex.

Felt I had to provide some balance to the previous review. I've used 123 for several years and really have no complaints. Their website interface is very simple and intuitive, and you can edit your pages online, which is very useful for minor tweaks.
Contrary to the previous reviewer I've found customer support to be very knowledgeable and helpful; the only drawback being that it's not 24 hr.
I've given it 5 stars taking into account the price; it's not perfect, but it is cheap, and compared to other hosts I've used (including one, Madasafish, who accidentally pulled the plug on my website, deleting all files and emails), very reliable.

If there were awards for poor customer service this company would win by miles. You may think you have already come across a bad company but nothing will compare to 123-reg. Do not use them - ever.
