About:
Streamline.Net was originally launched in 1999 as a diversification of its parent company, Dollamore Ltd. With thousands of customers worldwide we are now recognized as one of the fastest growing budget hosts in the UK. With this growth has come great stability, which is the most important asset of any hosting company.
Pros:
Prompt response to questions, excellent tech. support, value for money, easy to use
Cons:
Nothing
After reading the reviews on this site about the Streamline.net, I have to say something about it from my own experience with them. I had a bad year with hosting my site with 123-reg. Gathered from feedbacks from various review sites. I have decided to UPGRADED my host from 123-reg to Streamline.net. Their control panels for the servers (e.g. the main server, email server and DB server) are very use to use. Their tech. support is excellent: quick response, very helpful, they even help me to solve a problem on Sunday.
I have set up an online shop using Actinic with Streamline and a forum using Phorum. There is no problem at all. What I can say to those who have found Streamline bad is stick to something simple and conventional, not try anything fancy.Website: maplesports.co.uk

Pros:
There is a free trial package
Cons:
Support and Customer Service appalling
In trying to get the free trial package, I was tricked into buying the Home Package (the instructions aren't very clear) and when I asked (after only 2 days) to be transferred to the free trial and for a refund of my costs in buying the Home Package, I was fobbed off with automated emails before being told I had to put my request in writing. I haven't the time to do this at the moment but will do so soon. The pages I had uploaded had only been accessed by me to test the site but they now say I've been using the web space so can't get a refund. My files took up less than 1% of the space available.I too was passed on to 2nd line support, whatever that is, because after 3 or 4 emails that each took 1 day to be answered, it was obvious that the first line support knew nothing about PHP.The 2nd line support couldn't solve my problem either and I gave up on them.Don't be fooled by the cheap prices - in this case, you definitely get what you pay for...not much.

Pros:
Cheap prices
Cons:
Technical support teams are arrogant, unprofessional, technically inept.
Unfortunately what started as a very good experience now has turned into a nightmare. Price wise their service is very cheap, but their customer support is deplorable and almost non-existence. Their technical support teams are arrogant, unprofessional, technically inept and need to be lead and coaxed at all times.A portion of our website is the Daily News Section (http://www.cais-soas.com/NewsUpdate.htm), which requires to be updated every few hours, or at least once a day, and though it is still visible over the internet but we haven't been able to update it since April 25, 2008. Apparently we cannot publish our website, since the FrontPage Extension has been removed and they cannot reinstall it back for unknown reason! It’s now May 6th. Logging the problem with the ticket based support system, we are now into 20+ tickets and the job has been escalated first to senior engineers and now to level 2 (whatever that means)! It seems they use a template to deal with their customer’s queries, i.e. “cut and paste”. As I have received three messages exactly the same format “This issue has now been escalated to a senior engineer. We hope to have the issue resolved within 24 to 48 hours.” And till now so many 24 and 48 hours have gone by and no result. AVOID at any cost!

WARNING: DO NOT USE STREAMLINE AS YOUR HOSTING PROVIDER!I bought a reseller package (2 years) and listed below are the reasons I have moved my hosting elsewhere before my first year was up.Reasons why:-DowntimeI have experienced endless problems with all aspects of the hosting and domain emails, to list but a few:- frequently crashing SQL server, consistant ftp errors when uploading, slow DNS response times... the list goes on.The worst thing that happened was when they reset all the passwords on everything related to my account causing me to have to contact all my clients to tell them their passwords had been reset, and then streamline's servers crashed because everyone was trying to reset their passwords at once, so I and my clients were without email for a day. Slow ServersBecause their hosting is unlimited space and bandwidth it means that most of the time their servers have a very slow response time. and the upload speed on the ftp is very slow.Customer Service Their customer support is the worst I have ever experienced, they don't have email support or telephone support, only support tickets which you have to submit through their website and when you get a reply you get an email saying 'you have a reply to ticket number xxxx' but doesn't actually have the message in it so you have to log back into your account to view the reply! So people PLEASE PLEASE DON'T use this provider, it will give you a headache for months, however tempting the unlimited looks.I have moved all my hosting to eukhost.com who have similar packages at reasonable prices - their reseller hosting you can host unlimited domain names and its only £100/year. Their servers are very fast and so far 100% reliable they also have 24/7 support, live chat, telephone and email.
